The Alberta Self-Employed Farmer category is primarily suitable for applicants with some farm/agricultural management experience, the ability to purchase and manage a farm in Canada, and to engage in entry-level farm operations.

2. Application Requirements
Possess farm management skills, financial documentation of existing farm experience, education and training, work experience, a business plan, and a Canadian financial institution willing to finance your farm.
Sufficient financial capacity to maintain the farm's operation, with an investment of at least CAD 500,000, net assets of at least CAD 500,000, or equivalent funding obtained through other means.
